I am Hengameh Koliyaei — an artist who came to design through fine art. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, which means I approach every project with both a painterly eye and a deep understanding of how people think, feel, and navigate digital spaces.

My work lives at the crossroads of graphic design and UI/UX — translating complex ideas into visual experiences that are not only beautiful but genuinely usable. I believe the best interfaces are the ones that feel like they were made by someone who truly understands both art and the human mind.

More than
a designer

Outside of client work and professional projects, creativity never really stops. Painting and photography are not just hobbies — they are the wellspring that feeds everything I do as a designer. These practices sharpen my eye, deepen my empathy, and remind me why visual expression matters.

Painting
Rooted in my fine arts background, painting is my most personal form of expression. I explore texture, color, and emotion on canvas — a practice that directly informs how I think about visual weight, composition, and mood in my design work. I am building a collection of personal works and am open to sharing them here.

Photography
Photography trained me to frame the world with intention — to notice light, space, and the quiet details most people walk past. Whether shooting urban environments or intimate portraits, each image is an exercise in visual decision-making. A dedicated photography portfolio is in progress.
